Mountain Gorillas are critically endangered with just over 1000 left in the world. But the really good news is that their population is increasing by about 3.7% each year and this largely as a result of photographic tourism. What is even better is that the gorillas do not seem to mind the human company. Just as I was about to take my dream portrait, my gorilla shut his eyes (Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda).
